Luxury accommodation and country tea room on the banks of the River Sheppey, in the heart of the Somerset Levels, where you can sit and relax while you ponder the peace and quiet, surrounded by nature at its finest, Heron’s, Kingfisher’s, Moorhen’s Sparrow Hawks, Owls and Buzzards.

The starling’s coming back to roost just before dusk perform the most wonderful display of acrobatics’.

But maybe you prefer an undisturbed view of Glastonbury Tor, an absolute must that can be enjoyed from our conservatory or The Private Garden the choice is for you…

Feel free to collect the chickens eggs for breakfast, now you really couldnt get fresher than that.

Whatever your choice of scenery we suggest a nice cup of tea or maybe a glass of locally made cider will complete the picture. Why not ask for a hamper(filled with delicous goodies and drinks) and enjoy the fantastic Somerset levels. The choice is yours.

We can provide a variety of packed lunches, to include as much home grown or locally produced ingredients as possible, menus to suit all tastes at a very reasonable price.

Willow Bridge Farm is situated mid way between Glastonbury and Wells, with Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole, and Clarks Village in Street all within a 10 minute drive. Burnham on Sea and Weston Super Mare are approximately a 30 minute drive as is the M5.

Walking

Willowbridge Farm is the ideal base for your walking holiday. Situated in the centre of a unique, low-lying, wetland area called the Somerset Levels, the farm has views that stretch for miles.

Dominating the surrounding country is the famous landmark of Glastonbury Tor. Home to a once great Abbey and the burial place of the legendary King Arthur.

The land around Willowbridge Farm is crossed by many rivers and drainage ditches. Narrow, straight roads seem to go on forever.

You are surrounded by nature in all its glory. The Levels are a great place to see rare birds such as the Marsh Harrier and the Bittern. Nearby Shapwick is famous for spotting Otters in the wild.

You can walk the miles of country lanes, rarely seeing a vehicle or you can visit the nearby Mendip and Quantock Hills with their countless beautiful paths.

For the more serious walker there is The River Parrett Trail – a fifty mile long distance track.

Whatever you want from your walking holiday or short break, then Willowbridge Farm is the place to start.

Cycling maybe a more preferred option. We have bikes and all the necessary accessories available for hire along with maps and local knowledge to complete a most entertaining day in the country at peace with nature, listening to the birds

Using Willowbridge Farm as the base for your cycling holiday is ideal. If you want family-friendly rides on our flat, quiet country lanes or longer more challenging journeys, then we have something for everyone.

We can provide detailed leaflets on four wonderful circular routes that take in the best scenery and fascinating local history of this unique part of Somerset.

Our farmhouse breakfast will set you up for a day`s biking and packed lunches can be provided if required.

Secure storage for all bikes and cycling equipment is available whilst they are not being used.

Fishing

Fishing is another way to spend a most relaxing day, Coarse Fishing in the River Sheppey or the River Brue is extremely popular. Clients of Willowbridge can literally fish just outside, as every room has a river frontage. Large Chubb and roach are predominate in the local area. Please note that permits can be purchased to fish all the local rivers with excellent tackle shops within a 5 mile radius.
